At Focus The Talk Show, we don’t just talk about the problems. We hand the mic to the next generation and help them lead the conversation.

Steve Harrell
Founder and CEO
Steve Harrell, known to many as “Silkman,” is the Executive Managing Partner and CEO of Silkman Holdings LLC — the powerhouse behind Focus The Talk Show and the broader Youth Social Networks platform. But before the cameras, studios, and national impact, Steve was simply a man on a mission: to give youth a voice.
Raised in the heart of Philadelphia and shaped by the challenges and culture of the inner city, Steve has spent decades empowering young people through media, mentorship, and movement. His first love has always been communication — and he’s used it to bridge gaps between generations, uplift forgotten communities, and reimagine how we tell the stories of today’s youth.
A graduate of the Philadelphia Film Tech Academy, Steve brings deep experience in both entertainment and community work. He’s led marketing campaigns for high-profile brands, produced commercials and films, and worked with top names in sports, music, and media. But his greatest accomplishment? Building a platform where young people can be heard — not as side stories, but as the center of the conversation.
Through Focus The Talk Show and its sister programs (WatchOut, The Little Giants, and more), Steve’s goal is clear: to create the first national media network rooted in youth social issues — produced with integrity, guided by truth, and powered by purpose.
This isn’t just a career for him — it’s a calling. Every show. Every panel. Every young life impacted. That’s the legacy Steve Harrell is building. And he’s just getting started.
